God didn’t stop school shooting because “He’s a gentleman who doesn’t go where He’s not wanted.”

What an asshat!

Christianist Bryan Fischer has an explanation for the Connecticut shootings..

Fischer said that God could have protected the victims of this massacre, but didn’t because “God is not going to go where he is not wanted” and so if school administrators really want to protect students, they will start every school day with prayer.

Isn’t this the same God who in religious lore told his people to slaughter innocent women and children? He doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to protecting the lives of the innocent. In fact, he’s the most spiteful and homicidial character in all of fiction.

Things the godly say….

  1. Uggh this is so frustrating.
This batshit insane evangelism is nothing to be tolerated. The horrendous level from which they preach their message ought to be ridiculed at the top levels of media and politics.
Yes they’re free to say whatever they like, but those with great media presence should not hesitate to call them out on their horseshit either – especially when they preach their delusions off the back of tragedies. Freedom of speech aint freedom from ridicule. Fuck them.
    *raging*

  2. God doesn’t go where he is not wanted? LOL Since when? I can’t beieve these people believe that laws would keep their god out if school if he actually existed. Do they think there were no Christan kids at that school or something? Their claims are so absurd it’s laughable.

  3. As a christian it makes me furious that people like him are spreading a message of intolerance in the name of religion. What he is basically saying is that God values his ego so much more than the lives of children. This is not true.
I do not know why that tragedy happened in the first place. But I do not believe God was so busy throwing a tantrum since he was ‘not invited to the school’ and hence refused to come and help when he was needed desperately.

  4. Judges 10:13-14 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

What you have to understand about God, is that He only served those who serve Him. Where was science and Darwin when Adam was shooting them? Was Adam brought up on Christian values or atheist values? If you are an atheist, then God will respect that and not interfere in your life. Darwin is taught in schools, not God. It is clear in the Bible that the idols you serve, God will leave you to call to them in the day if trouble. A godless society must bare the fruit of godless men. You do not want God to interfere with your actions, yet you criticise Him when He does not interfere when it is convenient. You reap what you sow. The tragedy at Newtown was a culmination of So many things. Also death comes to us all, at any time, and in so many ways and at any age. If anyone chooses to ignore God rather then make peace with Him, who’s fault is that? No one is promised a full rich life? Also what about the thousands of children born with AIDS every day? Who is to blame for that?
